Acer has joined the six-inch race. The company, which is a relatively new entrant into the Smartphone business, announced  during the IFA in Berlin this weekend that its brand new phablet boasts industry`s first smartphone with capabilities to record 4K.

At least that is what it did when the device was first announced a couple of days before the announcement of Samsung Note 3.

The Note 3 too is capable of powerful 4K recordings, capturing videos at a resolution of 4,000 pixels.

Current HD resolutions mean just 1080 pixels. The 13 megapixel camera incorporated into the Acer phablet can do much more, offering complete multimedia experience by offering full HD display  - with IPS technology and 368 ppi -  4 x slow motion and full panorama 27MP photo.

It also has a 2-megapixel front facing camera with an 88-degree wide viewing angle.

The Acer tablet is powered by the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 2.2GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and a powerful battery (3,300 mAh).

The Liquid S2 is just 8.99mm thin and has a curved design using the curved Gorilla Glass® 3.0 to boast native damage resistance.

The Liquid S2 has 4G LTE capable of average upload speed of up to 150Mbps and supports the latest Wi-Fi standard, 802.11 ac, more advanced compared to the current 802.11 n standard.

The device comes with dolby digital Plus speakers.

The phone is available in red or black and has a 16 GB storage capacity expandable up to 128GB. The phone will hit the market next month.
