Microsoft has announced that it plans to launch two variants of Surface Hub devices starting July 1, across 24 markets including the United Arab Emirates

The 55-inch device is priced at $6,999 while the 85-inch device will be priced at $19,999. The devices can, however, currently only be ordered for purchase by businesses and organisations.

The Surface Hub features art digital white boarding, instant remote conferencing, the ability for multiple people to share and edit content on the screen from any device, and a platform for large-screen apps.

Specifically meant for corporate use and in educational environment, it enables users to experience the complete Windows 10, Skype for Business, Office, OneNote, and Universal Windows apps on a large screen.

“Today is a big day for us. Three years ago, we set out to build a completely new kind of experience — a collaboration device designed from the ground up with group productivity in mind. Today marks a milestone on the journey. With the announcement that we’ll begin taking orders for Surface Hub on July 1,” said Mike Angiulo, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Devices Group in his blog post.

“Today, we’re excited to share that Surface Hub will be available for businesses to order in 24 markets on July 1 and will begin shipping worldwide in September,” the post said.

Apart from the UAE the other markets where it will be rolled out include: United States, Canada, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Qatar, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
