Abyaar’s Pier Eight project reaches 20th floor

Kuwait-based Abyaar Real Estate Development Company said on Monday the Pier Eight project in Dubai Marina has reached the 20th floor and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2011.

In a press statement, Abyaar Chief Executive Officer Hussain Al Basri said: “The construction works for Pier Eight project is an important phase for us. We are committed towards ensuring the completion of the building works in the project which will be delivered according to an aggressive time schedule.”

The project is a 39-floor tower in Dubai Marina District, comprising 234 residential units ranging from studio apartments to one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, in addition to a penthouse, and three town houses. It has been designed by Atkins.

Abyaar has appointed MESC Contracting Company to be the main contractor for this project, the statement added.
