Gulf Air adds flights to UAE, Kuwait

Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air will add 28 more flights per week to UAE and Kuwait in its new winter schedule 2011, which will be efective November 1, according to Gulf Air Chief Commercial Officer Karim Makhlouf, reported 'Alrroya.com'.

“We have seen a tremendous increase in traffic on our popular destinations in the UAE and Kuwait indicating the need to augment our fleet and frequency," he said.

The new schedule offers 14 additional flights per week to Dubai and seven additional flights to Abu Dhabi making a total of 98 flights per week. 

Besides offering double-daily connectivity, the new schedule also introduces hourly flights from 4 pm to 8 pm daily from Dubai to Bahrain with perfect onward connectivity to over 40 destinations on the airline’s network via its Bahrain hub. 

Gulf Air will also operate seven extra flights to Kuwait offering the second highest number of connections by any airline to this emirate.

The new winter schedule also sees additional flights to Addis Ababa, Beirut, Colombo, Istanbul and Kabul.
