50 snakes into Kuwait? Smuggler tries

Kuwaiti airport customs inspectors arrested a local man trying to smuggle 50 snakes into the oil-rich Gulf emirate, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

Customs men found the snakes inside a sack hidden in a secret chamber in the passenger’s baggage, the Arabic language daily ‘Alwatan’ said.

“The man was handed over to the police on charges of trying to smuggle illegal items into the country,” it said.
