Dubai Police, in coordination with Ajman Police, have arrested two drug smugglers in the emirate of Ajman.
The Directorate General for Drug Control at Dubai Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration of Ajman Police raided the house of the accused following a tip-off about their suspicious activities.
One of the accused is a Gulf national while the other is an Asian.
Major General Abdul Jalil Mahdi said the teams searched the house of the accused and seized 1,2750 tablets of prohibited drugs which have serious effects on the nervous system of drug consumers.
The two aimed to promote and sell drugs in the country, particularly to young people.
The case has been forwarded to the public prosecutor to complete the legal procedures.
