A 20-year old Emirati identified as Mohammed Rahma Al Blouky has died in a motorbike accident in Messa city, Arizona, USA, on Thursday, May 16, Arabic daily Emarat Al Youm has reported.
Quoting information circulated by friends and family of the deceased on social networks the report states that Al Blouky was studying in the USA and was riding the motorbike when he collided with a vehicle at an intersection.
According to a CBS news report the impact of the collision was so fierce that the bike flew about 100 metres.
A Mesa police spokesman confirmed that the accident was happened at 9pm Arizona time on Thursday (11 am, Friday, UAE time) and added that the vehicle causing the accident, according to eyewitnesses, was crossing the intersection when it hit the bike.
The woman driving the other vehicle had her young son in the car and they transported Al Blouky to a nearby hospital, where he died because of the severity of the injury suffered.
Emarat Funerals, the funeral service home here in the UAE, said on its Twitter account that it expects the funeral to take place today at mosque in the Bani Yas cemetery of in Abu Dhabi.
