Women on UAE visit visa in shoplifting spree

Three Arab women who specialised in ship-lifting have been arrested by Ajman Police.

Police were on the lookout following complaints from several shopkeepers that cell phones were missing from their outlets.

According to a top police official, they entered the country on a visit visa and hid behind abayas and niqabs to steal.

Large amounts of money of varying currency and several mobile phones were confiscated from their residence, accoring to Major Saeed Khalifa Al Ketbi, Director, CID, Ajman Police.
 
The trio have confessed to the crime to police. They also admitted to stealing from shops in other emiraes.

They have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
