Liquor in soft drink cans seized in Saudi

Saudi Arabia’s religious police seized hundreds of soft drink cans containing liquor and arrested two men on charges dealing in alcoholic drinks.

Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice seized the stuff during a raid on a suspected apartment in the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah, according to 'Sabq' Arabic language daily.

“They arrested one Saudi and an Arab expatriate. The cans seized in the apartment contained luxury international brands of alcoholic drinks and they were filled and sealed in a clever way,” the paper said.
