Dad hangs daughter from chandelier as 'punishment'

In a bizarre mode of punishment, a British father hung his daughter upside down from a chandelier and hit her naked behind with a cling film roll.

The 44-year-old father has also been charged with dislocating a toddler's shoulder while throwing her in a cot. He also bit a child's arm, reports The Sun.

The daily said that the father allegedly tied up his two daughters and covered their heads with a sheet after neither owned up to spilling salt. when the girls' mother tried to stop the father from carrying out the atrocious acts, he ripped off her nightdress and pulled her hair. He has also in the past hit her with a rolling pin while she was pregnant.

Such was the fear of him among the kids that his son once wet himself when his father saw him playing with a toy car.

The man has been put behind bars for five years and three months.
