Dad rapes daughter after returning from jail

Colombo: A man who returned from jail was riled on learning that his wife had eloped with her lover so much so he unleashed his anger by raping his 20-year-old daughter.

According to a report in ‘Lankadeep’, he was serving a 9-year sentence in a drug case.

While in jail he learnt that his wife was in a relationship with another man.

He allegedly threatened to kill her if she continued in the relationship, the paper reported.

Meanwhile, on his release from prison, he learnt his wife had left his five children behind and eloped with her lover.

In a fit of anger to take revenge on his wife, he raped his daughter.

The girl informed the mother and the two filed a police complaint.

The man has been arrested.
