Rakia predicts growth will continue in 2010

Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority (Rakia), a major provider of investment opportunities and one-stop solutions in its free zones, industrial parks and offshore facilities, said 2009 was a prosperous year with 880 on-shore and 885 off-shore licences issued. In terms of the on-shore licences, 35 per cent were achieved in the fourth quarter alone, when considerable growth was observed, and this is expected to continue, said a Rakia statement. Most of the investment, 26 per cent, came from India.
