Abu Dhabi Airports Company (Adac) yesterday signed agreements at the Paris Air Show with two UK-based companies and a memorandum of understanding with a Swiss company for business expansion at the Al Ain Aerospace Cluster, according to a senior company executive.
"Adac is confident that Beagle Aerospace's and Generation Metals' introduction into the new aerospace cluster in Al Ain will help this emerging centre to prosper," Khalifa Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Chairman of Adac, said in a statement.
The agreement between Adac and the UK-based Beagle Aerospace is for warehousing of aircraft components at Al Ain. The company's plans include the commissioning of a specialist composite repair facility within the cluster. The agreement between Adac and the other UK company Generation Metals International is to utilise the firm's expertise in supply chain management, as well as, providing a range of aerospace metallics.
The memorandum of understanding between Adac and Mistral Engines, meanwhile, establishes the framework for the two parties to explore opportunities for the development and production of Mistral's products in Al Ain, said Adac.
