British Airways cuts Europe, US fares

After a challenging year of cabin crew strikes and drops in demand, British Airways hopes to regain lost market share as it slashes summer airfares from the Middle East to Europe and North America.

Available until July 5, for travel up to December 31, customers can bag offers that include return trips to Europe with all inclusive airfares for Dh2,195, while US deals start at Dh3,555. The sale is available across business and all economy classes.

Meanwhile, BA is also planning to go ahead with its third unit of business-class only OpenSkies route this autumn.

The division is expanding after its Paris-Washington service began in May. The carrier's initial route between Paris-New York has carried more than 155,000 people since it began operations in May 2008, the airline said.
