Regional private jet operator, Prestige Jet, is set to break record when its pilots return this year from their simulator training to fly the world's first Embraer Lineage 1000 aircraft, the operator said yesterday in a statement.

The two senior Captains have been dispatched to Switzerland, for their 45 days simulator and operational training and will be carrying the aircraft's first business passengers when the plane goes into action on November 15 this year.

"Fitted with highly intuitive avionics suite, the Lineage 1000 comprises state-of-the art platforms that simplify procedures and improve safety in all weather conditions," said Captain Gerald Dolan, Director of Flight Operations and one of the first two pilots to fly the jet.

The Lineage 1000, Embraer's ultra-large executive jet, is three times the size of business jets, with a capacity for 19 passengers. Prestige Jet expects the highest demand for this aircraft to come from customers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Russia, it said.
