Batelco, Bahrain’s leading internet services provider, has reduced the monthly rental for its single-user broadband package by 30 per cent.

In addition, the first 200 customers who sign up for the package will receive one-month free rental, provided they stay with Batelco for a minimum of one year.

“Batelco had promised its business customers a reduction in the single-user package; now we are delivering on our promise. Furthermore, current customer on dial-up service can greatly benefit from this offer and upgrade their current speeds,” said Batelco Corporate Affairs General Manager Ahmed Al Janahi.

The single-user package is ideal for small business needs and features 256kbps download rate and 64kbps upload rate. As part of the package, customers receive one Batelco e-mail address that comes with 200MB of storage.

“Batelco understands the need of its customers for value-for-money broadband services. This single-user broadband package is unmatched in the kingdom,” added Al Janahi.

Meanwhile, in an effort to expand its business profile, Batelco acquired the exclusive rights to the mobile content for Al Dhameer Al Arabi, which is great news for Batelco 3.5G subscribers.

Al Dhameer Al Arabi is a brand new music production that features more than 100 famous Arab artists who have come together to take part in a 40-minute premium video clip, created by famous producer Ahmed Al Arian.

The video contains a montage of songs covering some of the most important and gravest issues the Arab world has faced in the past 10 years and continues to face today.

Besides the Al Dhameer Al Arabi content, Batelco’s 3.5G portfolio includes a wide range of exciting content on its mobile portal.

The mobile portal transforms the mobile handset into a true multimedia and entertainment device and gives Batelco customers access to a whole new world of information and entertainment services with breaking news, sports, religion, music, videos, graphics and games on their mobile phone.

The O-Mobile portal features a large selection of personalised content including the latest high quality MP3 tones, truetones, wallpapers, animations and themes plus the latest Arabic, English and Bollywood songs.

Additionally, a fantastic range of videos and games are available for download plus SMS and MMS alerts on an extensive list of topics.

The O-portal also offers a freezone where customers can download content free of charge. The O-portal is user-friendly and offers an optimum experience to its users. “Batelco’s 3G service is not just about technology: it opens up a whole new world to enhance our customers’ lifestyles,” said Al Janahi.
