Sama Dubai, the international real estate investment and development arm of Dubai Holding has announced Dubai Towers Doha will achieve Leed certification.
When complete, the 84-floored tower will become one of Qatar's first buildings to be awarded the US Green Building Council's certification. Located at the new business district in Doha, the Dubai Towers will offer improved air and water quality for reducing solid waste and aim to mitigate environmental impacts, in addition to offering a range of economic and occupant benefits.
Farhan Faraidooni, Executive Chairman of Sama Dubai, said: "In its commitment to creating environment-friendly buildings, Sama Dubai focuses on adopting the latest available technology. Such state-of-the-art green techniques help the company effect substantial reduction in water and energy needs, while minimising waste and pollution. The Dubai Towers-Doha is an example of this technique.

The tower is being built by a joint venture of Al Habtoor and Al Jaber contracting firms. RMJM and Hyder are design consultants. Interior design is done by LW Design, while Major consultancy and Hill International are the project managers.
"With its striking design, the Dubai Towers-Doha will not only integrate the highest standards in technological capability that meet modern-day business and leisure needs, but will also be a fitting testimony to latest eco-friendly concepts," he said.
Sama Dubai's projects in Dubai are The Lagoons and Creekfront Development.
