Abu Dhabi-based Hydra Properties, one of the leading UAE-based private property developers, yesterday said it has fast tracked its Hydra Downtown Tower project by beginning excavation and piling work for the project.
The new tower, expected to be completed by 2010, is located at Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai.
The foundation work is being done by Middle East Foundation Company while Al Turath Engineering Consultancy is the engineering consultants for the project.
Dr Sulaiman Al Fahim, Chief Executive Officer, Hydra Properties said: "Hydra Downtown Tower is all set to redefine the glorious skyline of Dubai. It will stand apart among the constellation of structures that is rising in Downtown Dubai by its trend-setting design."
The tower, rising up to 45 floors with the final 15 stories forming an exotic five -star hotel, will provide stunning views of Downtown Dubai and the world's tallest tower, Burj Dubai.
Engineer Mahmoud Saad, Construction Manager, Hydra Properties, said: "The project has gained momentum with the beginning of excavation and piling work which will be completed in the next seven months.
"The focus is on finishing four basement floors as early as possible. The logistics for the rest of the tower is being chalked out and we are confident of meeting our rigorous standards of excellence."
Besides UAE, Hydra Properties has projects across Mexico and Kuwait.
