Significant progress has been made on the construction of the Samarah Dead Sea Resort being developed by Emaar International Jordan, the subsidiary of Emaar Properties.

Excavation and blinding concrete for three buildings within Rift Living – a key component of Samarah Dead Sea Resort – have been completed and foundation work is progressing.

Leading Jordanian contractors are working on the project, which according to Emaar would further energise the tourism potential of the region.

Nabil Zard Abu Jaoude, Managing Director, Emaar International Jordan, said: "We are currently on with the construction work of Samarah Dead Sea Resort with a team of skilled personnel on site. We have planned the construction schedule and contractor mobilisation to achieve our targets and deliver homes within Samarah Dead Sea Resort on time."

Samarah Dead Sea Resort is in line with the growth plan for Jordan as outlined by the King Abdullah II Fund for Development.

"Samarah Dead Sea Resort is a pioneering master-planned community that sets new benchmarks in construction and architectural practices in the Kingdom. Pursuing Leed certification for a component within the project is one of the several steps we have taken to attain our sustainable developmental objectives," said Jaoude.

Rift Living is located directly on the Dead Sea, adjacent to the waterway and across Wadi Mukheir is from the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre and Samarah Dead Sea Resort Sales Centre.

It features nine low rise buildings located on the seafront comprising 223 Mediterranean-styled multi-family apartments. Amenities include walkways and neighbourhood shopping.
