Work on all Palm islands 'will continue'

Executive Chairman of Nakheel Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, speaking exclusively to Emirates Business yesterday, has said that work on all three of its man-made island developments will continue on schedule. Bin Sulayem said delivery of units will be decided by market demand.

The comments were made in the light of the impact of the economic slowdown on the Dubai-based developer. However, Bin Sulayem said Nakheel was re-eaxmining staffing needs.

Nakheel and hotel operator Kerzner International are sponsoring the Atlantis opening today, featuring a performance by Australian pop star Kylie Minogue and a host of celebrity invitees.
