Gasco signs four contracts for IGD project

Abu Dhabi Gas Industries (Gasco) has signed four landmark contracts for its Integrated Gas Development (IGD) Project that links offshore and onshore gas fields owned by Adnoc within the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The project, with a total value in excess of $9 billion (Dh33bn), is Government of Abu Dhabi's strategic initiative towards meeting the growing demand for energy within the emirate.

All facilities under the four contracts are expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2013.

The linking of offshore and onshore gas processing facilities will help in providing operational flexibility in oil and gas production.
