Cooking gas prices have gone up in Ras Al Khaimah.

Ras Al Khaimah Department of Economic Development announced the rise in gas prices by Dh2 for a small cylinder, Dh3 for a medium-size cylinder and Dh6 for a big cylinder after it held a meeting with distributors last week to determine prices for October.

Ahmed Ali Al Baloushi, Director of Control and Consumer Protection Section, said the department held a meeting with gas distributors in the emirate in the wake of a monthly meeting at the department's headquarters. The price of a 11kg cylinder is now Dh39, 22kg cylinder at Dh78 and 44kg cylinder at Dh156.

He said the price increase came in view of the rise of the international prices of gas.
