Transport study for Al Ain launched

The Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi has announced that it will embark on a study to create the Al Ain Area Surface Transport Master Plan, which will be the foundation of transport in Al Ain for the next two decades.

The master plan will be developed in line with Plan Al Ain 2030, which aims to enhance the urban infrastructure of the region and enable the city and its suburbs to address the needs of population growth and urban expansion.

The transport master plan will take into consideration the full range of transport investments and policy options – involving rail, tram, bus, taxi and main roads – to support Plan Al Ain 2030.
