Luke Bradley-Jones has been appointed EVP, Managing Director for BBC.com, the international version of the BBC's website run by BBC Worldwide.
Bradley-Jones, previously executive vice-president, Digital Media and Business Development at BBC Worldwide in New York, will be responsible for the ongoing strategic direction and management of the BBC.com business. BBC.com is one of the world's largest news websites, reaching 50 million visitors outside the UK to its news, sport, business, weather and entertainment content.
David Moody, BBC Worldwide's Director of Strategy and Managing Director, Digital Media said: "Having led our digital ventures in the US for the past two years, Luke is the natural candidate to take over the reins at BBC.com – especially as we work towards the site's first localised edition in the US next year."
Bradley-Jones said: "I am coming into this role with BBC.com in great shape, having secured more than 400 advertisers in the 18 months since its commercial launch and commanding a consistently high position in its globalcompetitive set."
