Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) announced its Ramadan programmes on its two channels – Dubai TV and Sama Dubai TV.
While showcasing contemporary issues and challenges, DMI seeks to highlight the mismatch that stems from the rapid rhythm of life in the Arab World. The two TV channels will capture these issues through several genres such as comedy, intricate social drama, and specialised programmes that will invite experts and seek their recommendations.
The bouquet, said DMI, comprises something for every member of the family, in line with the spirit of the season that draws people together for moments of shared brotherhood.
Focusing on social life, Dubai TV will also offer Haqqi Berqabti (I Will Take My Rights), a comedy with an Egyptian flavour.
Rash marriages and the consequences on children, resulting in a generation that carries the burden of social issues, will be the focus of the Khaleeji series Omr Al Shaka (Age of Burden) on Dubai TV.
Sama Dubai TV programmes include the drama Hadeel Al Layl (Nightfall) and Al Jeeran (Neighbours). The comedy section will include Sawalef Taffash (Stories of Taffash) with its independent tales for each episode, and Hanna Wa Ranna from the era prior to oil discovery and the economic boom.
