The average price of land for property development fell 5% in Q2. (REUTERS)
China saw an increase in land supply in the first half of this year.
The 'China Securities Journal' quoted the Ministry of Land and Resources as saying that the land supply increased 65.1 per cent in the first half from a year earlier.
Total land supply at the end of June was 179,000 hectares, the Beijing-based newspaper reported.
Land used in the first half for property development increased 98.4 per cent, according to the report.
The average price of land for property development fell five per cent in the second quarter as compared with the first quarter, the newspaper reported.
