Sama Dubai, the real estate investment and development arm of Dubai Holding, is showcasing the Phase 1 components of the Dh3.67 billion Salam Resort Bahrain at Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2008. Construction work on the project commenced in September 2007 with Phase-1 to be complete in 2009.

Since its announcement, it is the first time that a scale model of the island resort's unique features is up for public viewing.

Phase 1 of the project will include a 288-room luxury beach hotel, seven waterfront hotel villas, a 20,000 square metre state-of-the-art conference centre and six royal villas on a private island. The second phase will encompass a residential community and retail outlets set in traditional souq style.

Farhan Faraidooni, Executive Chairman of Sama Dubai, said: "Cityscape Abu Dhabi is an excellent opportunity to showcase Salam Resort Bahrain.

"As one of the largest of its kind in Bahrain, as well as the first luxury beach community on the untouched south western coast of the island, we are confident Salam Resort Bahrain will definitely attract discerning investors who are on the look out for niche developments."

Covering an area of 500,000 square metres, the Salam Resort Bahrain will boast hotels, villas, souks, luxury health spas, shops as well as restaurants.

Comprising unique features and holistic offerings, Salam Resort Bahrain will significantly contribute to the tourism industry in Bahrain, while opening up several employment opportunities for residents.

The high-end Salam Resort and Spas brand aims to be one of the finest integrated, luxury resort developments in the world.

Although different in their offerings, each Salam property, located at a prime location within the country, will reflect the culture and heritage of its host country.

Sama Dubai stand also features the company's other niche projects such as the

$3 billion Amwaj, the $550million Dubai Towers – Doha as well as the $17.7 billion The Lagoons.
