Fashion goes musical
Beirut-born, London-based singer-songwriter Mika is teaming up with his favourite designers and artists to produce a one-off limited edition EP of four new acoustic tracks in advance of the release of his second album due this Autumn. Songs For Sorrow will be available as a beautifully designed book containing a CD and featuring a cover sketch by Alber Elbaz, the artistic director of French fashion house Lanvin.
Containing four brand new songs, each piece was given to some of Mika's favourite artists and designers from around the world – including artist Peter Blake, fashion designers Paul Smith and Manish Arora and theatre designer Es Devlin – who created works of art based on their personal interpretation of the songs.
The hardback will soon be sold through the artist's website www.mikasounds.com and also at Lanvin's two London stores.

German sports apparel giant adidas recently teamed up with footie stars Emmanuel Adebayor and Lionel Messi to launch the new F50i football boot.
Available in cyan, black and white, the new model follows on the success of the F50 range and features the SprintSkin technology, which, according to adidias, envelops the player's foot like a second skin while the water-repellent synthetic material provides a perfect fit.
