Etisalat offers pocket HSPA-WiFi modem

Etisalat has unveiled a HSPA-WiFi modem, a trendsetting mobile bro-adband service that enables customers to simultaneously connect up to five WiFi-enabled gadgets by using one SIM card.

The pocket HSPA-WiFi modem converts HSPA mobile signals into an umbrella of powerful WiFi coverage for up to five devices to access the internet securely. It functions for various WiFi devices, such as netbooks, notebooks, portable media players, handheld game consoles, PDAs, mobile phones and even cameras.

The modem supports a maximum downlink speed of up to 7.2 Mbps, and a maximum uplink speed of up to 5.76 Mbps, made possible by etisalat's 3.5G mobile network.

Users can enjoy HSPA - WiFi modem service by subscribing to one of etisalat's current data packages, said a statement.

The pocket HSPA-WiFi modem device will be available from Dh749.
