Beshir wins Sudan presidential polls

Sudanese President Omar Al Beshir, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court, was yesterday declared winner in the country's first multi-party presidential election in over two decades. "The winner in the election of the president of the republic is Omar Hassan Ahmed Al Beshir from the National Congress Party," election body chief Abel Alier told reporters in Khartoum.
