A UAE farmer has succeeded in breeding kangaroos on his farm in Al Ain.
Nasir Khalifa Al Shamsi, who started breeding kangaroos on his farm in the Al Taweyya, a suburb of Al Ain in 2007, said his groundbreaking experience was a success story.
The farm is now attracting a large number of curious visitors, who believe the achievement is extraordinary taking into consideration local climate and environment. "If anyone said he saw a kangaroo hopping in the sand dunes, some people would say, he was mad, but here I am seeing a kangaroo moving in front of me,'' he said.
Al Shamsi, who started breeding some fancy animals as a hobby, travelled to many countries to gain practical experience about handling and breeding these animals before putting his experience into action that led to the startling results.
