Al Ain police praised

Five Arabs have been arrested by Al Ain police investigating a high-tech investment scam involving more than Dh17 million.

Police said the men were involved in running a bogus investment fund using the internet, and swindled people after promising them huge returns if they invested their money with them.

This is the third such case that has come to light in less than two weeks, police in Al Ain said.

Brig Mohammed bin Awadh Al Minhali, deputy head of Abu Dhabi Police Department, praised Al Ain police for their alertness and said it was regrettable that people still fell into such traps even after identical cases had come to light.
