DMI reporter missing in Iran

The loss of contact with Dubai Media Incorporated's (DMI) correspondent in Iran Ridha Al Basha has been confirmed by the office of DMI's Managing Director Ahmad Al Shaikh.

DMI is following up the full details of Al Basha's situation with bodies concerned after his contact with DMI was lost on Sunday noon, the office added.

The 27-year-old Syrian has been working as correspondent with DMI for around one year via a news services office in Iranian capital Tehran and he was not assigned to do any news coverage on Sunday.

The office said Al Basha was close to his home and was not on any assignment when he went out of contact on Sunday.

The DMI office is in continual contact with the Press and Foreign Media Department of Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Iran to follow up the case of Al Basha closely.
