Ras Al Khaimah sets up office for competitiveness

Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has issued an emiri decree creating the Ras Al Khaimah office for competitiveness under the Sheikh Saqr Government Excellence Programme.

Decree No5 of 2009 defines the responsibilities of the office which will be carried out in co-ordination with the Emirates Competitiveness Council in regards to access to information and implementation of strategies, following up of relevant initiatives and programmes approved by the Council.

The office will also conduct and publish studies and statistical reports on competitiveness situation in the emirate and co-operate with local and international competent organisations to exchange best practices and experiences.
