Madonna is back for fall

The queen is back
. The artistic brains behind Louis Vuitton's promotional campaigns, namely Artistic Director Marc Jacobs and photographer Steven Meisel, have decided to bring back Madonna for an encore.

After the successful Spring/Summer 2009 campaign, the French luxury brand's Fall/Winter 2009-2010 promotions sees the pop diva in a series of portraits reminiscent of the golden age of Hollywood, say promoters. Using a technique called solarisation, the singer models key pieces from the brand's ready-to-wear collection, accessories and sequinned Monogram bags.

Unconfirmed sources have revealed that she was paid $11 million (Dh40m) for the campaign.

"After the fun we had with the Spring/Summer campaign, and the amazing reaction to it, all of us were eager to get back for Fall/Winter. While the two campaigns look very different, there is also a unity about them, so it now feels like we have completed both parts of the story," says Jacobs.

Roger Dubuis for Eid

Swiss luxury watch expert Roger Dubuis is already capitalising on the coming bumper Eid-ul-Fitr gifting season by tempting consumers with the Kingsquare Tourbillon. But credit where it's due: Featuring a medley of colours, the Tourbillon's array of complications, including the eponymous Flying Tourbillon and other signature Dubuis features make this an object of desire and the perfect gift.

The Kingsquare Tourbillon is available in two sizes – 40mm for men and 36mm for women and is limited to 28 pieces worldwide.
