Emirates has released a new video filmed during the World T20 Final in Kolkata, India, in which the airline's female crew is seen dancing to cricketing gestures of the umpires.
Released on Monday, April 4, the 1:18-minute video dated April 3 showed the crew members walking on to the Eden Gardens ground amidst loud applause and cheer by spectators.
“Hello Kolkata, Emirates welcomes you to Eden Gardens. This stadium has 18-doors, 66,000 fans and two teams. Our cabin crew will now show you how to celebrate the final,” says a speaker addressing the fans in the stadium and the crew follows her instructions.
Then the crew team celebrated a ‘six’, ‘four’ and ‘out’.
The video showed fans enjoying and imitating the crew in celebrating ‘six’, ‘four’ and ‘out’.
The video ended with the statement: “Thank you for your attention. Good luck to both the teams.”
The final match was played between West Indies and England which the Caribbeana won with two balls remaining. Needing 19 runs to win in the last over, Windies smashed 24 runs in just four deliveries, taking the World Cup home for the second time.
In March, the airline posted a couple of videos of their cabin crew ‘performing’ for fans of the German Bundesliga club Hamburger Sport-Verein (HSV), a club that Emirates sponsors.
