How can Shah Rukh, Salman Khan become friends again

It has been four years since Shah Rukh Khan and Salman fought. Yet, the obsession over their nasty fall-out, and possible patch-up is still so high.

It has launched numerous talk shows and interviews, and has constantly kept the audience in a spin.

Even their recent appearance at Yash Chopra’s movie premiere sparked numerous theories of a reconciliation.

But, SRK soon put to rest those stories.

“We’ve had a little bit of personal issue. This is not the first time; it is about four years ago. We were very close for 20 years... We have certain things that are similar and there are certain things which we disagree on. So at this point of time we are on that plane of disagreement,” reportedly told Indian publication Hindustan Times.

Despite Shah Rukh openly claiming that no one can broker peace between them, we are confident that the men might just need a little help from their close pals.

And, so we pick our top five B-towners who might be able to broker peace between the warring Khans.

Katrina Kaif

Yes, she tops the list by virtue of her proximity to the stars. One Khan she has “allegedly” dated, and the other she has befriended during ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’. And, both claim to be smitten by her charm.

Her influence is undoubted. This is probably the first time in Salman’s dating history that he has decided to hook up with his “ex-lover” for an on-screen romance. And this, despite knowing that Katrina was “dating” someone else.

In fact, their media promotions for ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ presented them as being extremely fond of each other.

Although Katrina is known to stay away from anyone Salman strikes off from his buddy list, she stood her ground when it came to Shah Rukh.

After ‘JTHJ’, she has been seen accompanying him to most media functions and their friendship does appear solid.

So, considering that she has befriended them both, she might kick-off the peace negotiations, especially since it was at her birthday bash that the two had brawled.

Aditya Chopra

Not many people know this, but it was filmmaker Aditya Chopra who is credited for bringing together Shah Rukh and Salman under one roof.

It was upon his request that Salman attended the premiere of the Shah Rukh-starrer ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’.

Often Salman and Shah Rukh avoid heading to the same social function, so this was a first.

Even though Salman didn’t stay back to watch his “ex-ladylove” romancing his arch rival on-screen, the fact that he did make it to the event shows that there’s still hope.

Priyanka Chopra

Here’s another pretty lady who seems to be tight with both the Khans. One, she’s supposedly dating, or just good friends with, and the other she considers her “4am friend”.

Just days from her Dubai concert with Salman, we wonder if PC will use her clout to influence the minds of Salman and SRK.

With many reports suggesting how she lost out on many Bollywood friends over her “scandalous affair” with a married Shah Rukh, the fact that Salman stood by her does go in her favour, and possibly a patch-up.

Karan Johar

He’s best buds with SRK, and shares a great friendship with Salman.

In fact, Karan had attempted to set things right through his famed telly show ‘Koffee With Karan’, with Shah Rukh rendering a public apology to Salman.

“Salman Khan is angry with me, it is 100% my fault,” he had told during the show.

The peace initiation, however, didn’t get the desired result. In fact, it created more damage than good.

“I felt this (Shah Rukh’s) apology came only to increase TRPs of Karan’s show,” Salman reportedly told the Indian media.

Despite that minor hiccup, we are confident that Karan might just be able to pull-off another peace deal, and this time more genuinely.

Amitabh Bachchan

The two Khans might differ on most counts, but they both are extremely fond of the legendary actor. And, it’s likely that they might find it tough to ignore any suggestions put forward by the senior Bachchan.

Despite the fact that Salman shares a rather torrid past with his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh has always been kind and affable to him. His absence at Amitabh’s big fat birthday bash was speculated, but BigB’s tweet during the “JTHJ’ premiere cleared the air.

“Danced my shoes off with all the youngsters... an amazing evening... spending time with Salman (Khan), Aamir (Khan), Shah Rukh, Katrina (Kaif) and Anushka (Sharma)," he tweeted.

Although this had sparked fresh theories of a patch-up, nothing actually happened that night. With SRK clarifying, “If Amitji has tweeted it then you all ask him. There is no patch up. I read about in newspapers. Don't believe it.”

That being said, we still believe that if BigB decides to step in and call the shots, the younger Khans wouldn’t have an option, but to listen.
