Pop star Lady Gaga has been accused of making a career from imitating Madonna, so why should things be any different for her wedding?

Just like the pop icon, it seems Gaga now wants to get married at a British castle – at Christmas.

Madonna married Guy Ritchie at Scotland’s Skibo Castle in December 2002.

The eccentric singer reportedly told members of her crew she will tie the knot with former barman boyfriend Luc Carl when her world tour hits the United Kingdom in December, when a two-month break before a US leg of concerts will afford her time off for a personal life.

Gaga wants to arrive in a horse-drawn carriage for her castle ceremony in England or Scotland, UK media reported, quoting anonymous sources.

But perhaps she should be warned: Madonna’s marriage to Guy fell apart six years later, her touring and music career taking a toll on life together.

That’s a castle wedding off, then.
