The Duchess of Cambridge accompanied by her husband Prince William struggled to contain her excitement as she cheered Andy Murray on to his second Wimbledon title.

Kate couldn't contain her emotions as she watched Andy make history by beating Canadian Milos Raonic in straight sets in the final.

From broad smiles of joy to nervous looks and the odd gasp during more nail-biting moments, the Duchess expressed exactly what viewers watching the game at home on TV were feeling.

Wearing her favourite designers, McQueen, Kate, 34, appeared to even give a nod to tennis conventions by choosing a frock in ivory with a delicate print.

She chose a bespoke version of a dress from the British designer's Pre-Fall 2016 collection, which features an 'Obsession' print that includes butterflies, jewels and even skulls.

The famous royal couple was seated in the Royal Box at Wimbledon and was joined by A-listers, actors, politicians and tennis legends.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sat pride of place at the centre, and were flanked on all sides by Bradley Cooper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Hugh Grant, politicians David Cameron and Sadiq Khan and former Wimbledon champions Stefan Edberg and Bjorn Borg.

Meanwhile, the royals were out in force with Lady Helen Taylor, the Duke of Kent, Princess Alexandra, Prince Michael of Kent and his son Lord Freddie Windsor all enjoying the comfort of the dark green Lloyd Loom wickers chairs as they watched Andy Murray storm to victory in three sets.
