Kangana must have just started to enjoy her break from the ugly spat but now there's another twist in the tale.

Ranbir Kapoor who is nursing his broken heart after splitting with longtime girlfriend Katrina Kaif is now the new character in the tussle.

Kangana and Ranbir found themselves in an awkward situation when the rumours about their link-up started doing the rounds.

So much so, that a hastag #nowranbirkangana started trending on Twitter recently.

The rumours haven't gone down too well with Ranbir. According to a report in DNA, the new single in town is in a state of shock over the rumours.

The DNA report quotes a source as saying, "He is wondering where these rumours originated as there is no truth to it. Ranbir is in a state of shock over the spate of stories that have sprung out of nowhere in the last few months."

Be it his break-up with Katrina or his link-up with a stranger, the 33-year-old actor has always maintained silence and never issued clarifications.

But this time around Ranbir has had enough and won't take things lying down.

The article quoting the source said, "He is upset that people are taking advantage of the fact that he doesn't issue clarifications. There is no truth in the stories of Ranbir and Kangana's affair, yet in a very systematic manner this is being spread in media. He knows who is behind these rumours and if this continues, he is considering issuing a strong denial this time."

Ranbir has lately been busy filming 'Jagga Jasoos' in Morocco.
