Kareena and Shahid kiss and make up

Having broken up acrimoniously in 2007, former lovers Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor couldn’t stand each other until very recently.

But at last week’s Filmfare Awards, the pair spoke to each other rather fondly – in stark contrast a similar awards function two years ago, when, having almost bumped into one another, they turned the other way to avoid any contact.

But with both actors now in steady relationships – Shahid with Priyanka Chopra and Kareena with Saif Ali Khan – it seems they are ready to let bygones be bygones.

According to a wag at the show, this is how it happened: when Kareena was walking off stage after her performance, she noticed Shah Rukh Khan in conversation with Shahid. Instead of walking past the pair, she went up and said hello to both actors – reportedly leaving Shahid pleasantly surprised and Shah Rukh open-mouthed. The conversation continued for a short while.

When contacted, Saif Ali Khan told the Times of India: "Yes, Kareena did speak to Shahid at Filmfare. They met as one should."
