A collection of more than 100 previously unpublished photos of Marilyn Monroe can be seen for the first time in a new book. (REUTERS)
Even after 50 years of her death, the image of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe remains as enduring as ever. Her colourful career has been charted in a new exhibition at London's Getty Images Gallery revealing rare photographs, portraits, original videos and artefacts that once belonged to the star.
Included in the exhibition are a host of stunning black and white photos of Marilyn. While some of the pictures reveal a very candid and charming Marilyn, others have her in classic sultry poses for the camera.
Right from Marilyn posing in a polka dot bikini, to snaps in which she is looking every inch the Hollywood legend that she was, there is a wide array of pictures on display.
Some pictures were clicked on location of her films. In some of these shots she can be seen reading scripts or enjoying a bicycle ride with one of her ex-husbands.
The exhibition also features a selection of original dresses and costumes worn by the star.
