Pippa Middleton? Isn't she a newsreader

Pippa Middleton captured the imagination, hearts and minds of men across the world on April 29 when she donned the figure-hugging gown at her sister’s wedding. However, about two-thirds of US citizens admit they don’t have a clue who she is.

But among those who do, 2 per cent think she is a porn star, according to a poll for Vanity Fair magazine and US current affairs programme 60 Minutes. About 6 per cent of those polled think she is a US newsreader.

Herald News says: "The porn star revelation follows the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge reportedly being offered a whopping $5 million to appear in just one scene in an adult movie."

The poll also revealed:

- 24 per cent of Americans don’t believe Osama bin Laden is really dead

- 31 per cent would choose James Bond as a fictional character to go on an adventure with and

- 46 per cent feel the world is neither a safer or unsafe since the 7|11 terror attacks
