Madame Tussauds' Bollywood world tour will include wax statues of four actors - Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor.

These wax works will be traveling to Hong Kong and Bangkok along other world cities as part of the museum's plan to tap the Bollywood fan base in these places.

But strangely the museum has excluded Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit's statues. Madhuri's wax figure was recently launched amidst lot of fanfare.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan's statue in London will also stay put where it is. This is only because the Hong Kong museum already has another Amitabh statue.

The rest of the four statues will be brought and showcased in Hong Kong alongside Amitabh's figure.

Reports suggest the museum will display the statues till July 19 after which they will be traveling to different cities.

But what caught everyone's attention is the exclusion of Salman Khan's figure. This is more so as his statue is very popular amongst visitors in the London museum and people throng the museum to click picture with his wax statue. Salman's statue has been the most photographed among Indian celebrities by visiting fans.

Salman's wax double at Madame Tussauds in London was unveiled in January 2008.

Right now his fan base has increased immensely after producing back-to-back four blockbusters. This bankable actor's mass appeal as a Bollywood star is unmatched.

Salman's upcoming movie 'Ek Tha Tiger' is the most awaited movie of 2012. The first trailer of the film generated unprecedented uproar in the internet. The sequel 'Dabangg 2' is also in the making and is anticipated to be a super hit like the prequel.

Madhuri and Salman's omission from the tour has baffled everyone.
