In a galaxy not too far away, the Abu Dhabi shoot of ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ has thrown up several new twists in the tale, with gossip site TMZ leaking some 45 images from the Liwa desert film set.

The pictures seem to further cement the theory that Liwa was transformed into the desert island of Tatooine, with the images portraying a market place or sorts, with inter-galactic planet dwellers.

But the real spoiler is the emergence of a giant new four-legged creature, resembling a rhinoceros, that could play a pivotal role on the desert home of Luke and Anakin Skywalker.

In April, Disney confirmed that ‘Star Wars’ would be filming in Abu Dhabi, with twofour54, the commercial arm of the Media Zone Authority Abu Dhabi, confirming director JJ Abrams and cast flew to the capital in early May.

Abu Dhabi, which is the first location for the seventh instalment of the global movie, is due to premiere in December 2015.
