Sri Lankan star couple Roshan & Chaturika split

One of the most Sri Lankan popular silver screen married couple Roshan Pilapitya and Chathurika Peiris have split, according to Gossiplanka website.
 
Roshan Pilapitiya a versatile Sinhala actor married actress Chaturika few years ago. According to Gossiplanka, Roshan has revealed that there is a ‘third person’ in their lives.
 
The rumour that they have split was highlighted several times but both denied and claimed it was a rumour. However, when the website contacted Roshan recently he said that he and Chaturika have decided to go separate ways based on mutual understanding.
 
“We will be friends and continue to work in film productions. The saddest thing is that her ‘affair’ with another actor who has two beautiful sons is worrying me. I respect her as an artiste and I have handled the problem with care so that there is no one to be hurt.” he had said to Gossiplanka.

"The person who is part of our life is none other than actor Gayan Wickrematilake. Chaturika and Gayan are at the moment acting in a popular tele drama named ‘Sepalika’.

The tele drama got them closer to each other the source revealed.

According to Gossiplanka, Gayan is a father of young children aged 3 and 14 months. He is married to Thrushina Latif, a Malay.

Gayan  was lately involved in casting in ‘Sepalika’ as the main character opposite Chaturika. According to Gayan’s wife, her husband is having an ‘affair’ with the actress. “One day, he came home and said that he is moving out of the house to live with the actress and he never turned up ever since,” she had revealed. “I have lodged a complaint at the Kadawatha police.”
 
However, Gayan says the relationship with Chaturika is only a friendship and he has never had been her ‘lover’.
 
After reading the Gossiplanka news Gayan had replied, “I have only worked with her as an artiste. “As said by Roshan, her husband, we are not lovers and I am not the third person in their lives.”

Gayan thinks the whole rumour of him having an affair with Chaturika popped up when he had sent her sms messages whenever Chaturika did not turn up for film shoots.
 
“Some used this as a tool to spread the rumour. Some have shown my messages to my wife. I have acted with Chaturika several years ago too. So she is my pal. My wife got down Chaturika to my house and we both explained there was nothing between us. But they were not willing to accept any of my reasoning. I have two children. I have no intention of leaving them. I will inform Gossiplanka if I am getting married to Chaturika. But nothing now as there is no truth whatsoever.”

“I have not eloped with Chaturika. I have marital problems with my wife for the last seven years as we are still not married officially. But I am out of the house living with my friends and I will keep supporting my family and will not getaway with my duties,” says Gayan.
