Virtual fireworks in night clubs in Japan

A Japanese company specializing in online entertainment has developed a way to blend live action and special effects to create virtual productions that can be enjoyed anywhere.    

In a bid to cheer up a country still reeling from the March 11 earthquake and tsunami, it recently staged a virtual 3D fireworks display at a nightclub using augmented reality -- where computer graphics appear in the real world.

Club-goers wearing special glasses are able to see amazing effects and fantastic light tricks as they look around the real world, thanks to banks of LED screens.
