Mall in Sharjah at heart of retail re-emergence: Economic chief

The retail market in Sharjah is in rude health, despite the recent economic challenges according to Ali bin Salem Al Mahmud, Chairman of Sharjah Economic Department.

Mr Al Mahmud cited the ongoing investment into Sharjah’s key malls and improving road networks to neighbouring Emirates for the strong position.
Mega Mall, one of the oldest malls in the UAE has recently undergone an overhaul and rebranding exercise in order to bring in back in line with the best retail offerings in the UAE.
“Sharjah has become a hugely attractive investment location in all departments but particularly in retail,” said Al Mahmud.
“Mega Mall is a special mall that offers both the best local and international brands, as well as cultural events and entertainment. Top brands now view Sharjah as a key market for their business.”
As part of its overhaul, Mega Mall has undergone a significant rebranding and modernisation overhaul, including a new logo designed to reflect the position of the mall at the heart of Sharjah’s community. The new corporate identity is a sign of the project's values, ideals, objectives and professionalism.
The mall will also begin hosting regular cultural events and launch green initiatives aimed at both adults and children, offering shoppers of all ages a more interactive experience.
To mark the occasion Mega Mall is launching an attractive sales promotion where shoppers will get the chance to win a BMW car every month until the end of the year.
General Manager at Mega Mall said: “Mega Mall is already an established shopping centre and a popular destination in the Northern Emirates, but we are determined to make it much more than that.”
Mega Mall will be giving away a brand-new BMW 316i every month to one lucky shopper with a minimum spend of Dh200.
The Mega Mall retail offering includes popular fashion outlets such as Zara, Mango, Paris Gallery, Promod, Guess, Vero Moda, La Senza and Aldo, as well as more exclusive finds such as Miss Velvet Class boutique, where the more discerning shopper can find the works of local and regional designers.
