Dubai Courts are showcasing their unique achievements at the Dubai Government Achievements Exhibition.

The exhibition that began on Tuesday [April 8] will run until April 10 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The Courts are highlighting a set of notable e-Projects, including ‘Al-Salfa’ – an integrated remote case registration e-Service; ‘Sure’ – a pro bono legal consultation programme; e-Notary Public service; Amicable Dispute Settlement Centre (civil and commercial); and ‘Nebras’ mobile app, along with many other services.

The products are aimed at enhancing customers’ experience, helping them complete dealings and applications with speed and accuracy.

‘Al-Salfa’

A first-of-its-kind in the Middle East, ‘Al-Salfa’ e-Service enables law firms and all litigants to register cases electronically, record every detail, upload identification papers, and send them to Dubai Courts online.

‘Sure’

‘Sure’, involves volunteer lawyers offering free legal consultations and advice to litigants on a wide variety of cases and lawsuits. Dubai Courts provides 950 pro bono legal advice hours for litigants via ‘Sure’. The initiative is implemented in conjunction with Dubai law firms.

e-Notary

e-Notary public service, which is considered a revolution in the certification process over the Internet, includes 14 types of certification provided by the Notary Public Department within the courts of Dubai. This step has been well received and applauded for saving both time and effort.

The service is available in Arabic and English and takes only a few minutes. The main benefits of the service are security and confidentiality.

‘Nebras’

Another services showcased at the exhibition is ‘Nebras’ mobile app, which comprises many services of interest to Dubai Courts litigants and customers.

The services offered by this app include the ability to access case status, next session date, hall number through case number inquiry, case year and case type.

In addition, the app provides an easy way to search both the UAE federal and Dubai local law, along with the latest news of Dubai Courts.

'Live' and interactive

Taresh Eid Al-Mansouri, Director of Dubai Courts, noted that the Courts’ numerous e-Services came into existence under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed recommended the transformation of government services into smart services.

This step will contribute to facilitating and accelerating customers’ transactions and dealings, thus enhancing the competitiveness of the UAE globally.

Al-Mansouri said the Courts aim to provide an opportunity for those interested to cast their eyes over local, national or international experiences.

The initiatives are centered on their vision - ‘Pioneering in Courts Work’ - as well as achieving their strategic objectives, which is to promote community confidence in the judicial system.

"e-Transformation and smart services in Dubai Courts cover all judicial and administrative sectors.

These services highlight the unique experiences of the partnership between the public and private sectors in the e-Systems development in the judicial sector. This can all be credited to our Interactive Department," Al-Mansouri added.
