3 warehouses gutted in Al Ain fires

The Civil Defence Corps in Al Ain fought hard to bring three fires in warehouses under control yesterday. 

According to Lt Hamarain Al Darmaki, Director, Civil Defence Al Ain, there were no injuries, though all the goods and property in the warehouses were completely destroyed. 

The Al Ain emergency communication centre received a call at 12.48pm informing about the fire, after which rescue teams moved in quickly. 

The contents of the warehouses included wood and fiberglass materials and after three-and-a-half hours, the fires were brought under control. 

One Civil Defence personnel was injured condition and transferred to the Al Ain Hospital for treatment. 

Darmaki appealed to owners of warehouses to take preventive and necessary safety measures to prevent fires.
